So, the last few weeks have gone by in a whirl of building work and bad weather. Cannot actually believe it’s May and;
1. We haven’t had a BBQ yet.
2. We haven’t had the paddling pool out.
I hope with the shorts and t’shirts lined up ready to go, this is not a sign of what’s to come weather wise over the summer.
So as mentioned, we had to hang around because of the builders arriving. The weather was too wet and cold to play in the garden so what did we do? Pile in the car and go to the nearest budget shop and filled our boots (or wellies) with refills for our craft box, which we aptly have now named our Rainy Day Box. For under £5 we managed to get all sorts of goodies. Letting M loose in the shop to choose what she wanted in the box was half the fun!
Using a roll of old lining paper we had, we all had hours of fun painting and like I always says, its the simple things that create the most enjoyment. Our box now contains;
- Paint brushes
- Water pots
- Different shaped sponges for printing
- Glitter pens
- Glitter pots
Obviously, there’s lots more your box can contain and we will add to ours if there’s any more rainy May days but hopefully we’ll soon be swapping our Rainy Day Box for sandcastles and ice creams in the not too distant future.
