Could it be that summer is finally here?
Today started off the same, rain, rain and more rain. But in the blink of an eye the sun came out and wow did it shine.
We made a mad dash to the park. Not our local one but one of the nicest green spaces in Liverpool, Sefton Park. I love it and so do M and J.
We’ve picnic’d there, gone on beautiful autumn walks there, watched the amazing firework displays there on cold November nights but today we got no further than the swings. But this was fine. Or awesome??!! as M continually told me.
And it was.
Despite the fact that M wanted to go on something at one end of the play area and of course J wanted to go on something then other end. But we got there eventually and met in the middle. Its dawned on me that soon there wont be this issue of needing eyes in the back of your head (ok, so maybe i will a bit) because there is two to look after. There won’t be the difficulty in trying to entertain a 1 year old at the same time as a 4 year old.
M will be at big school and there will be just me and My Boy. I’ve got a feeling it s going to be a totally new world again with new challenges and enjoyment by the day.
But for now we are happy having awesome days the three of us. The plan is to visit a different park each week. Will she remember our pre school adventures?
I hope so.
