Baby and us | Out and about!

Because we've been there!

The Berth, Anglesey

July 30, 2015

Wow where has the time gone?

Busy days upon us since returning from our little trip away to Anglesey and our little break suddenly seems so long ago which makes me feel quite sad.

For us, Wales is the perfect long weekend get away destination.  The journey time is not too long, and when you get there the fresh air and open space is endless ready to fill the lungs and wear out little legs ready for a good nights sleep.

Our trip had been planned for a while but admittedly we did leave it a bit late in the day to book.  After a night of searching we stumbled across a place perfect for us all.  Us all being Myself, Hubby, M and J, my Mum and Dad and my Bro and his Fiancee.  We had this idea back in January when Dad turned 70 that we’d all go away together, stay in a big farmhouse and continue the celebrations when it was a tad warmer.  And that we did.

We found this lovely place, not too far from RAF Valley called Berth.

The cottage was really spacious inside, perfect for all eight of us. The three bedrooms were great sizes too and the room we had was a huge family room.  Double bed, single bed and masses of room to put up the travel cot for J. Having never stayed in a cottage before we weren’t sure exactly what would be there or not equipment wise.  So turned up looking like we had bought everything except the kitchen sink. Wow, we could have travelled light! Everything you think you may need during a stay away was there. And a massive bonus for us there was  a highchair and a fixed stair gate.

There was room to chill, room to gather round a big table for lunch and room for M and J to run absolutely wild.  Needless to say we’ve definitely put my bro off having kiddies for another few years!!!

The biggest plus however, was the view.

And M was particularly excited when we got up the first morning and saw we had a family of bunnies in the garden!

The view went on for miles and miles.  And became even more spectacular by night when M and J were in bed and we sat relaxing prosecco in hand and watched the moon rise over the horizon.

Just catching up with the blog and writing about our time away makes me want to go back.

It was quiet, peaceful and refreshing and I think i may just have to log into and have a quick look when Berth is next free for a little family get away.
